Trekking in India

Trekking in Nepal for all Seasons
Trekking is the gift of Nepal to the world in adventure tourism. To be one with Nature, to regenerate one's own self-esteem, to rediscover oneself, to appreciate Nepal's beauty, to interact with its hospitable and friendly peoples are some of the highlights of trekking in Nepal. Trekking is one long-term activity that draws repeat visitors to the country. Therefore, Nepal is the ultimate destination for the trekking enthusiast. It offers a myriad of possibilities - from the 'short and easy' walking excursions to the 'demanding and strenuous' challenges of the snowy peaks and their foothills and valleys. But however easy, or moderate, or strenuous, there is something for every palate that goes with trekking in Nepal's hills, mountains and hinterlands. The most rewarding way to experience Nepal's indomitable combination of natural beauty and cultural riches is to walk through the length, breadth and the altitudes of Nepal. Trekking in Nepal is as much a unique cultural experience as well as an ultimate Himalayan adventure.
The best months for clear weather, cultural diversity, mountain scenery and plant life are February - April and September- December. As we ascend above 2500 meters (8,000 feet) our bodies must acclimatise to the decreasing amount of oxygen available. Failure to acclimatise can result in Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Rest easy in the knowledge our guide can deal with AMS in any situation, in any weather and at any time.
There are lots of trails. Many of them are old trade or pilgrimage routes, leading through terraced hillsides, forested ridges, or by river banks and paddy fields and connecting picturesque hamlets and mountain villages. The best way to see Nepal and connect with her land people is still via the oldest way of walking on your two feet like our hunter-gatherer ancestors did.
A trek can be short, half a day hike to a mountain’s top or a ridge to get a spectacular view. It can be a 3 or 4 days excursion further north for a closer look at the Himalayan giants or it can be a few weeks walk up and down mountain valleys in the shadow of the mighty peaks. Go for it, Go for a trek, Go for half a day, go for a couple of months, but GO!
