Lakpa Tamang - Executive Director & Founder

Lakpa Tamang is a trekking and mountaineering leader with 25 years of experience as a Climbing Sherpa, Sirdar and guide. He began his career as a porter on expeditions to Mount Everest when he was just 12 years old.

In 1989 he became a fully certified climbing guide and in that year participated in the French-Italian

Mt Manaslu (8163m) Expedition. Here he spent three full days at an altitude of over 7400m. In 1991, with an Italian Expedition, he summited Mt. Kangru (6981m) for the first time, via the Southeast route.

Since then he has been with many expeditions, assisting in climbing high peaks including Mt. Mustagata (7456m) in the Pamir Range of Western China and Cho Oyu (8201m) in Tibet.

He has guided trekkers in all of the popular trekking destinations of Nepal. He has guided many climbers to the summits of many so-called 'trekking peaks', for example Island Peak / Imjatse (6189m).

He has worked in Tibet, Darjeeling, Sikkim, Bhutan, India Pakistan, and China & Visit in Tibet, Bhutan, India, and Pakistan, all most Europe countries as Denmark, Italy, France, Norway, Belgium etc., and China. He speaks good English and can get by in Italian, as well as speaking Nepalese and numerous mountain dialects.

Over the years, he has become an expert on the Nepal Himalayas, the Himalayan middle hills, the whole Kathmandu Valley and also plains of Nepal (known as the 'Terai'). Being a tour guide he has a lot of knowledge about Nepalese history, culture, geography, art, architecture and anthropology, and its religions - Hinduism and Buddhism. His local knowledge can be especially helpful to visitors with limited time who are looking something special on their trip to Nepal.

His family and he lives in the Kathmandu Valley, not far from both the famous Boudhanath Stupa and the Kopan Tibetan Buddhist Monastery. He is very active in my local community where he volunteers for numerous causes. He take the opinions and suggestions of all our clients very seriously. Martin Fedorski - Overseas Marketing Manager (UK), Trekking Leader/Expedition leader
Martin, our Overseas Marketing Manager and valued member of staff, is from Manchester, England. He has travelled extensively in Nepal, Tibet, India and other mountainous regions. He has visited most parts of Nepal and has worked as a trekking guide and expeditions leader with Friendship Trek.

Nima Dorjee Tamang - Managing Director, Trekking Guide, Tour Guide
Mr Nima Dorjee Tamang, is a Managing Director and Trekking Instructor and Guide of 'Friendship Trek' Trekking and Expeditions (P). Ltd. He was born in a traditional mountain village in the Solukhumbu district of Nepal, close to the Mount Everest region and home to the Sherpa and Tamang people. In the local language of Tamang people 'Friendship Trek' also means 'The Earth'. And he has 7 years experience in trekking field in several Himalayan regions of Nepal,. He is also a technical mountaineering guide for our company - treks. Personally he is very friendly and helpful and he loves to share his deep of knowledge about mountain among travelers to make their journey interesting and unforgettable. He always thinks to give good Knowledge about the trekking, mountains and good service and service.

Dawa Chhiri Sherpa - Founder/Trekking Guide, Tour Guide
Dawa Chhiri Sherpa is a Founder, Trekking, Tour Guide of 'Friendship Trek' Trekking and Expeditions (P). Ltd. He was born in a traditional mountain village in the Solukhumbu district Goli-06 of Nepal, close to the Mount Everest region and home to the Sherpa and Tamang people. He began his career as a porter on Trekking and Expeditions to Mount Everest Region/Annapurna region from the age of 15 years old.
He has got many years experience in trekking field in several Himalayan regions of Nepal. He will have always smile face in the trekking so he is also called by the name of Laughing Buddha. He always thinks to give good Knowledge about the trekking.
He plays a vital role to run a office for the Trekking. He always thinks a good service and service to the clients. We are very proud to have a Guide like Dawa.

Furba Tamang - Expeditions and Peak Climber
Mr Furba Tamang came from Everest Region, Solukhumbu district, Kerung V.D.C. 7, He is well trained Climbing Guide for the company.
He has more than 8 years of experience in climbing and trekking. He has got the Government License of trekking and Climbing Guide. He has been working in this agency since 1999. He has got good experience in Climbing the Mountains. He had already submitted all the peaks of Nepal.

Mingmar Tamang - Expeditions and Peak Climber
Mr Mingmar Tamang came from Everest Region, Solukhumbu district, Kerung V.D.C. 6; He is one of the well experience expeditions Climber. He has been climb for many expeditions with the Korean team named OM who is one the famous climber. He has Involved in the various expeditions like Mt. Everest, Mustagata, K2, Lhotse, Amadbhlam, Kanchanjunga and many more trekking peaks and Mountains in Nepal. He is well trained climber for the company.. In 2001 he has started his job with the company and work as a Sherpa staff and later due to his hard work he had become a good climber.. He does the work with more safely and seriously too.

Tashi Tamang – Trekking Guide, Expeditions & Peak Climber:
Mr. Tashi Tamang Sherpa is a Trekking, Expeditions & Mountain Climber Guide of 'Friendship Trek' Trekking and Expeditions (P). Ltd. He was born in a traditional mountain village in the Solukhumbu district Kerung-05 of Nepal, to the Mount Everest region and home to the Sherpa and Tamang peoples. He is one of the well experiences Trekking & Mountain Climber for our company. He has Involved in the various expeditions, trekking destinations and many more trekking peaks and Mountains in Nepal. He is well trained Trekking & Mountain Guide for the company. From 2002 A.D. he has started his job with the company. He does the work with more safely and seriously. He has got many years experience in trekking field in several Himalayan regions of Nepal. He always thinks to give good Knowledge about the trekking.

Sukram Tamang - Outdoor Cook/ Sherpa Staff
Mr Sukram Tamang is permanent residence of the Khumbu region of Nepal. He has trekked long time in his home land in Everest and for few years he likes to trek other parts and explore. He has been working with us since 2002. He cooks very delicious food for our clients on camping treks. He smiles a lot and is friendly with the staff and guests.

Lakpa Tamang - Expeditions Climber
Mr Lakpa Tamang came from Everest Region, Solukhumbu district, Lura V.D.C. 9, He is well trained, experience guide for the company and likes to prepare delicious outdoor meals during the trekking. In 2000 he has started his job with the company. He has been involved with many expeditions on the previous years. Last year he successfully climbed Mt. Amadablam, which made us and our company happy..

Som Chhring Tamang - Trekking  & Tour Guide
Mr Som Chhring Tamang came from Everest Region, Solukhumbu district, Chimding Vdc-5, He is well trained, experience guide for the company and likes to prepare delicious outdoor meals during the trekking. In 2002 he has started his job with the company. He has been involved with many Trekking groups on the previous years. He has got the Government License of trekking and Climbing Guide.

Phurba Tamang -
Phurba Tamang is from Solukhumbu district and began his career as a porter/kitchen boy on expeditions to Mt. Everest in 1977. Gradual promotion has made him an able sirdar/sherpa and cook for expeditions to many major peaks in Nepal and Tibet. He has been to many of the eight thousanders in his capacity as sirdar/sherpa/cook on a total of over 32 expeditions in the Himalayas. He has also summited Sisapanga and Bharunche in Tibet.He has been worked with the famous person, Messner and Hans Kamanlander in the expeditions.

Dawa Tamang -
Dawa Tamang is also from Solukhumbu district. He has 10 years of experience in trekking starting his career as sherpa and progressing up to sirdar/guide. When not working on expeditions, Dawa is the school teacher in his native village - Lapcha.
